The Journey

What has your journey of becoming a hypnosis expert and self concept coach looked like?

For as long as I can remember, I have truly just loved connecting with people. Understanding them, finding out their stories, their dreams, their passions. And as an empath, I’ve always been that person that the people in my life come to for advice, to listen, to hold space. Helping others see their situation differently, shift their mindset and reframe the way they view or feel about something - it’s something I’ve been doing on some level my entire life. I’ve always believed that we all thrive when we feel seen.

I started out in the coaching world about 9 years ago as a health and fitness coach. I loved helping people, seeing them grow, seeing them step into their power. But what I quickly found was that so much of the work I did with clients was actually about mindset and identity or self concept, not about the food or workout plans. This led to me getting certified in NLP, EFT, Hypnotherapy and mindset coaching in 2019. It was a huge asset to my nutrition coaching business, but more importantly, I immediately fell in love with learning about the subconscious mind and specifically hypnosis - it not only completely changed my life on a personal level, but also how I worked with people. The fact that we have the power to literally change our lives by just rewiring thoughts and beliefs (most of which have been there since childhood) was so wild to me - it felt like something that not enough people were talking about. Once I started working with mindset clients, I went as deep as I could, learning and experimenting and finding out as much as I could about hypnosis, its history, the different techniques, inductions, ways of creating change - there’s really so many that you find what resonates with you and what works best with your clients. It’s a highly personalized experience and something you learn to intuitively adapt and finesse the more you work with people.

From there I decided to completely focus my work on helping women realize their full potential and create the life of their dreams through hypnosis and self concept coaching. The term self concept is essentially who you believe yourself to be - your identity. And this will always inform the way your life shows up. Changing this and taking control of this is how you make any profound change in your life. For so long, we can be stuck in seeing ourselves a certain way - typically who others think we are or who we think we ‘should’ be, or playing a role we’ve had since we were young. But by deciding who you actually want to be and defining your new identity, you can easily step into a new version of yourself in small ways every day, aligning with the version of you who has everything you dream of. And hypnosis is a massive part of this. You can become this version of you who has everything you desire on a subconscious level, so showing up as this person feels easy and effortless – aligning with your dream life.

To say this work is fulfilling is such an understatement. Seeing people completely change their lives and what they thought possible for themselves is something I will quite literally never get over. And being able to hold space for women to dream big, to envision the life of their dreams, to tap into a new version of themselves, and to actually realize it’s possible - it’s so special. I sometimes feel like I get just as much out of my client sessions as they do - it’s so life affirming.
